In the blind spot, you don’t know what you don’t know—until you encounter sweet sorghum, a crop that has never been industrialised. For a century, its industrial value chain has simply not existed.
To this end, in August 2021, we founded Jiulan Bio Milld Institute.
What we do now extends beyond syrup itself—we are building an industrial system for sweet sorghum that it has never had. For leaf protein, we have returned to the origin, starting from fundamental research to explore pathways to industrialisation.
All of this is grounded in continuous R&D since 2009.
We are cross-disciplinary engineers—our backgrounds span naval architecture, environmental engineering, mechanics and CAE, starch chemistry, mechanical engineering, and logistics. We have long been curious about the blank spots in modern industrial systems.
In sweet sorghum syrup, we have developed prototypes of key equipment (e.g., a harvester prototype) and are now advancing a demonstration plant to validate the industrial pathway.
In leaf protein, we are building a Δt‑enabled test platform to explore release mechanisms and pursue a replicable industrial pathway.
At the edges of modern industry, where no legacy infrastructure exists, we have no choice but to build the entire value chain from the ground up.
Our innovation stems from a core recognition—the current system cannot support the industrialisation of sweet sorghum syrup, nor can it describe the release mechanism of leaf protein.
Our mission is to build a new industrial foundation for plant‑based sugars and leaf protein—a replicable, scalable pathway to industrialisation.
